It's been nearly 3 months since last update so it's a quick one..


Work : Full time retail sales is fun, good money, easy enough job, some days
Life : Dominated by work, but getting to catch up with friends and meeting some new and amazing peoples..
Cosplays : I am gonna be taking a break from making cosplays for awhile and re-wearing my already made ones.

Random point of interest... My Master Chief costume has been a big hit over the past 2 months. Many people love it and some people really want it. I'm looking into making better detailed peices for moulding into armour bits so i can create my Mk.II suit which will have better details and overall better look to it as well.

Hello all again... time for an update!

Anyway, Major news is that as of next week, i am gonna be full time at my Work in my department. As a training team leader for the Business Machines department. That is great for me, 38 hour week, more leadership in the area and it is gonna help me go places. But 2 problems have come up...

1. My work asked me to cut down on my Brisnova Holidays, which i have done, but i cut 5 days of the 16 i was having off, so still a week and a half off is good.

2. More work means less home time to work on cosplay stuff. Considering Brisnova is less than 3 weeks i'm becoming a little worried about it all. Let alone the things i also do in my spare time >_<.

Speaking of Brisnova, OMG, less than 3 weeks, DIES!

Friday Night : I had to drop the Team Fortress 2 Spy for friday night cause i wanna have a casual evening, i might dress up as the Master from Doctor Who instead. We'll see, i have an Urge to carry a lightsaber, cause lightsabers are awesome.

Saturday Morning : Captain Jack Harkness from Doctor Who/Torchwood

This cosplay is becoming a fangirl magnet, lets alone the fact Captain Jack is awesome, lots of the cosplay girls are like, SQUEE when they found out i was making it. Now i have to do it properly. All i am awaiting now is is the Wig from DSR which i hope can be done, considering the change in her circumstances of late.

Saturday Afternoon : Master Chief from Halo 3.

My cosplay entry for Brisnova. Well, all is going well, forearms and handplates are 100% finished. Boots are coming along, as well as 1 of the calves. The other has to be built in paper. Both thighs are paper build now but are awaiting fibreglassing. And i have discovered afew issues with my chest peice, which i might have to remake it seems >_<. Anyway, list of things to do...

Thighs - to Be fibreglassed and finished
Calves - 1 has 80% fibreglassing, 1 has to be built in paper....
Boots - Finished Fibreglassing and has been trimmed for the join and now needs to be finished.
Lower Torso - Needs to be built, need to get the right size....
Shoulders - Need to be built still >_<
and
Weapon - No idea yet.

Hello all again, i thought i would make a nice update given it's been afew months..

Costumes

Captain Jack Harkness : Awaiting the Wig from DSR and that'll be all i need and he's done

Master Chief : Well, i am going okay so far, the new helmet is curing in the shed as we speak and it's looking amazing, i have afew people wanting to learn how to make it themselves and i'll be holding a small workshop here in Brissy for anyone who might wanna come, it'll be invite only, so you'll have to ask me . But yeah, it looks great so far. Very Happy.

ARC Clone Trooper : Going good, i got afew smaller peices and i only need to wait for the new straps for the shoulders, knees and elbows before i can really knuckle down with it. I also picked up a JM episode 3 clone helmet for some randomness, incase i wanna have both an episode 2 and 3 clone trooper down the track.

Life
Work is going good, learning alot lately and it's only going to get much more intense with the back to school peroid coming up shortly. Not much else in my life right now, hanging with friends, working on costumes, and work, pretty much keeps me going.

Anyway, this is a quick update, and i'll have new pics of costumes up soonish i hope...

Master Chief : Halo 3 - Well, i decided to ditch the old helmet and go for something even more extreme. I wanna have this for brisnova next year, so 6 months to make the master chief, i wonder if i can do it.....?

Hello all, again....

Well, 4 weeks until sydnova and it's about time i did a quick update. Right, costumes....


Vash from "Trigun" - I have the coat, which was a simple ebay buy cause i couldn't get anyone to make it for me. But the rest of the peices are pretty much done. Pistol is being re-painted, still working on a holster. Gloves and random leather body peices are ready to go as well. Not sure when i will wear Vash though.... Maybe friday night....

Captain Jack Harkness from Doctor Who/Torchwood - Well, i have been looking very much forward to costuming the "Captain". Mainly i am a huge Doctor Who Fan and i am making this for the Doctor Who Fanclub and i thought i'd try him out at sydnova cause he is a simple costume i can wear without too much fun. Everything is on it's way or has arrived for it, including a $150 Royal Airforce Greatcoat from the UK. Probably gonna wear this one of the days, cause it's nice and simple.

Clone Trooper, ARC Captain Fordo - Well, i am in the process of building this, which is my current after work project and whenever i have a spare day. I have the armour, which i have had for about a month now. The new helmet is coming, the pistols are being painted pretty much as we speak, i still am awaiting my Pauldron from the states as well as i have to make my Kama and the holsters for my pistols... and then paint and weather the armour. The main thing about the clone is to make him up for a pic with the prime clone himself

Anyway, life itself, busy busy busy, i have been given alot of work lately and afew new duties which are time consuming but very well worth it to myself and the company. No need to go into it too much, it's work, aka, boring blah blah if u ask me. But i am looking forward to my week off, it's going to be good fun, espically to catch up with everyone in Sydney again.

Notable moments since i last updated...

I got to sit and fiddle with a 1981 GMC De-Lorean, yes the back to the future car!!!!

I got to sit and oggle at the General Lee from the Dukes of Hazards....

I spent the day with Batman and Catwoman.......

I watched a stupid arsehole of a old man customer get stuck in an automatic door at work, but he was a dickhead so he deserved it. How slow do you have to be to get stuck in an automatic door?

I bought many new toy guns and started spray painting them into better colours.... bright yellow isn't kewl. Bring on gunmetal!

I also bought some more Star Wars Lego, cause it's so very very kewl, my new corner shelf is starting to fill up with Lego now, excellent!

I bought a 500gb Western Digital World Book External Hard Drive. It has gigabit ethernet so everyone in my house can access my TV shows. Now, to fill the bastard.

I also have bought a Ultrasaber Custom, based of the Imperial Knights from the new Star Wars Legacy comics. Should be here in 2 or 3 weeks. I also have a Optical-Lighting-Systems Saber coming too, it was stupidly cheap, and i had the money, why not.

Anyway, that is all for abit, i will post some costume pics when i have abit of time. Aka, next weekend.
